Bainbridge Cooperative Nursery School (BCNS) is a learning center for children between the ages of three to five. Our program is educational, but non-academic, with individual and social development as well as kindergarten readiness as our objective.

BCNS was established in 1963 and has provided quality preschool education for three generations. It is one of the island’s most established preschools in terms of longevity and reputation. As a cooperative, we are completely supported by parent members.  The quality of our Program is largely the result of enthusiastic collaboration of over 1600 families, over a span of forty-eight years.  The cooperative spirit is a mainstay.  Parents and staff working together, repairing and rebuilding climbers and fences, maintaining the school grounds and gardening to keep the school safe and fun for the children.

Bainbridge Cooperative Nursery School admits children of families of any race, color, gender, religion, handicap, sexual orientation, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, services and activities generally accorded or made available to families and children in this school.
